Richards Faces Possible Fine for Smoking During Rolling Stones Concert

According to the Scotsman Keith Richards and Hampden Park face a possible fine of up to $94 for the Rolling Stones Guitarist’s decision to smoke a cigarette on stage during the bands recent show in Glasgow, Scotland.  Scotland’s ministers passed the ban on smoking in enclosed public places unanimously back in 2004 but the ban only began being officially enforced as of this past spring.

A spokesperson for the Glasgow City Council said that the incident was being investigated and that “this has been brought to our attention and we will look into it…Glasgow takes its responsibility for enforcing the smoking ban very seriously.”  No word yet on how Richards plans on finding the money to pay the fine or on what he was smoking.

Tickets to upcoming Rolling Stones Concerts start at around the price of a cigarette in Scotland. Rolling Stones Tickets are available on the Rolling Stones page on StubHub.com.
