Rolling Stones go out with the Biggest Bang of all

The Rolling Stones Bigger Bang tour has come to an epic end, closing out as what the BBC is reporting as the highest-grossing tour of all time. The banned pulled in an unbelievable $437 million, rocking out in front of three and a half million fans at one hundred ten shows since August ‘05. Read here for the BBC’s full article on the Rolling Stones’ precedent-setting Bigger Bang tour.

This new record shatters previous holder U2’s benchmark of $333 (though the BBC is reporting $337) million for their Vertigo tour, which itself leapfrogged over The Rolling Stones’ Record of $323 million.

Billboard is also reporting rumors of a potential extension of the tour into 2007, which would put the $500 million mark well in the Rolling Stones’ range. Read here for Billboard’s full article.

And though the Rolling Stones may have wrapped up their Bigger Bang tour for now, StubHub is still advertising hundreds of tickets forums for the most popular artists on tour. For more information on what fans are buying and selling, what’s in hot demand and who’s putting on the best shows today, check out StubHub’s general concert tickets forum and StubHub’s sold out concert tickets blog for the same up-to date and quality information I’ve been pleased to provide on the Rolling Stones Bigger Bang tour ‘07.
