Two Men Die

Two Spanish workers were hurt dismantling the stage from the Rolling Stones concert in Spain, when three workers were involved in an accident at the Vicente Calderon stadium. Three of the workers dismantling the stage fell about 30 feet from the scaffold and landed on top of a fourth man, of these four men involved in the accident one was hurt critically and two man died.

The dead workers have been identified as Benno Goldewijk of the Netherlands who was 44 years old at his untimely death, and Alfredo Pecina Matias of Spain who was a mere 38 years old.

The Rolling Stones are currently on the European leg of their tour entitled “A Bigger Bang” and played in the Vicentte Calderon soccer stadium in the capital of Spain on Thursday night, June 27, 2007.
