The Rolling Stones are already gearing up for the September 21, 2007 premiere of their new concert film as directed by Martin Scorsese. Entitled “Shine a Light,” this film will debut in conventional and Imax theaters and is produced by Paramount Pictures. Shot in a two-day period in New York City’s Beacon Theater in Fall of last year, this film promises to be as much of a hit as the Stone’s first feature-length concert film, “Rolling Stones at the Max.” For its part, this first film grossed about $21.4 million worldwide at a time when the network was much smaller, in the year 1991.
With the excitement that always surrounds any mention of The Rolling Stones, you can imagine how popular this concert film will undoubtedly be. Especially considering the stature of the director of this second film, there is truly nothing to ge complained about whether you are a Rolling Stones fan, a concert fan or evenĀ a Scorsese fan.
