Sticks and Stones May Break Bones, But Words Will Surely Hurt Keith

The fervor over Keith Richards’ outrage this past week at a negative review published in a Swedish newspaper has led to hyped discussion over the topic.  Bloggers and writers all over the internet are examining the physiological stress that has overcome the hardcore party boy.  The reporter who did write the opinion piece has every right to pen his thoughts, so long as he isn’t claiming there are undisputed facts.  But really what’s interesting is that Keith seems to be one of those guys who really couldn’t give a rat’s behind what’s been published about him at all.  The man once confessed that he was so strung out on booze and drugs that he has completely forgotten the entire decade of the 1970s.

Richards is now well into his sixties and he’s devoted his life to playing that guitar until the end of every song.  So his seemingly trite outburst comes as merely a defense of a man who is convinced that he has well-mastered his trade.  Richards, it seems for the first time ever feels that someone has attacked him personally and the rocker just can’t seem to handle the bad news.  For all of us out there who at one time or another are criticized for our behavior or work, whether justifiably or indefensibly we can sympathize with Keith’s hurt feelings.  Console your favorite bad-boy rocker, get Rolling Stones tickets today!
