Today in History…

Perhaps it is just another excuse to get the day off work, but so you can mark it on your calendar November 30 was officially declared “Rolling Stones Day” in 1965 in honor of the Stones concert in Denver.  Today then is a day of celebration, a day of running through the streets blasting your favorite Stones song on your accompanying boombox and relishing in the fact that you have all of the Rolling Stones albums carefully on display in a specially marked area in your living room.

There are many odd holidays that have been officially declared throughout the years, for instance there is National Superhero Day where everyone should be allowed to impersonate their favorite superhero by wearing a cape to work and claiming they are proficient in several magical powers.  Or what about Save the Rhino Day?  Everyone should be permitted to adopt a Rhino and carry a picture of it around in their wallet, where they can proudly show off their big, grey horned baby. The Rolling Stones Day is a time to get some satisfaction!  Get your pair of Rolling Stones tickets by going to Stubhub.com.
