At a performance in Glastonbury on June 27, Crosby, Stills and Nash cut their teeth on a classic Rolling Stones number. The trio played the 1967 ballad “Ruby Tuesday” in a tribute to the Stones and also performed a string of classics reminiscent of their work from the late 1960s and early 1970s. Other highlights of the evening included renditions of “Southern Cross,” “Marrakesh Express” and “Long Time Gone.” It is practically a guarantee, I’d say that if you decide to perform a Stones classic-the crowd will go wild.
The Stones themselves are rumored to have their eyes set on a forthcoming tour, although no concrete plans have yet been announced. They could either be hitting the road later this year or sometime in 2010. Either way, you will want to see the Rolling Stones live onstage to hear them perform “Ruby Tuesday” along with many other classic hits.
